HA2610 Corgi   Harrier GR9A - ZG477, 1 Sqn RAF Disbandment Scheme (1000) £
      Out of stock

HA2610 - Harrier GR9A ZG477 of 1 Sqn RAF in the aircrafts disbandment scheme as a result of scathing defence cuts. The Harrier is the first operational V/STOL (Vertical/Short Takeoff and Landing) aircraft. By directing the engines exhaust through movable nozzles the force could be used to propel the aircraft along a runway or lift it vertically and then into a forward motion. Because of this ability to lift off vertically the Harriers began to be referred to as “jump jets”. These aircraft were continuously being refined and improved over the years with many new variants being produced.
The model looks truly superb and is loaded up with Sidewinder and Brimstone weapons plus drop tanks, optional canopy and undercarriage positions plus stand. Relatively few have been imported to the UK so grab one while you can.
Complete with info leaflet, ONE OF ONLY 1000 PIECES

The British Aerospace/McDonnell Douglas Harrier II is a second-generation vertical/short takeoff and landing (V/STOL) jet aircraft used previously by the Royal Air Force (RAF) and, between 2006–2010, the Royal Navy. Derived from the McDonnell Douglas AV-8B Harrier II, which was a development of the Hawker Siddeley Harrier, the BAe Harrier II was produced as the Harrier GR5/GR7/GR9. Both are primarily used for light attack or multi-role tasks, and are often operated from small aircraft carriers. The Harrier II fell victim to a UK defence review which saw all its operational airframes retired from service in December 2010.
